VLF Sinusoidal
VLF proof testers perform voltage withstand tests and provide the voltage source for diagnostic cable testing. Vlf testing has established itself in the past two decades as the only system to use for cable testing. The instruments are highly portable and can be set up and used by a single person. Test results are printed immediately after a successful test.
VLF Proof Testers provide a 40-80kV AC peak output voltage, suitable for VLF hipot testing 11kV – 33kV cables and as a voltage source for partial discharge and tan delta testing of 11-33kV cables. In addition to the standard controls described, this model also contains a Cable Burn mode.
